Data protection officers

We would like to inform that in adherence to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)), in the Syno has been assigned the following Data protection officers:

• General Counsel Jurgita Drulytė Sakalauskienė (on the legal side)
• Senior IT Systems Developer Albertas Jurgelevičius (on the IT side)

The Syno Data protection officers are responsible for ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, promotion of data protection culture in the Syno, helping to implement essential elements of the General Data Protection Regulation, such as data processing principles, rights of data subjects, recording of data processing activities, security and data handling security breaches.

Please note that the Syno has informed the State Data Protection Inspectorate (supervisory authority of the Republic of Lithuania) about appointed Data protection officers.

The Data protection officers also belong to the Lithuanian Data Protection Officers Association, which unites all Data protection officers appointed in the public and private sectors of the Republic of Lithuania.
